Where are the servers and data located?
  • iHost has servers located in 3 private data centers located in the Republic of Moldova, Luxembourg and the United States.

    Data centers and equipment are privately owned by iHost and are managed by specialists and engineers of the company.

Can I share my Backup account with other users?
  • Yes. But you do it on your own responsibility.

    We do not recommend sharing passwords and Backup accounts with other users.

How data is protected on Backup servers?
  • All data is stored on servers equipped with RAID controllers that detect and replace hard drives that contain errors.

    The data loss rate is very low in case of errors or technical disturbances.

    By default the data is not saved and other backup copies are not made.
    If necessary, the client can select the Replication and Archiving option for guaranteed protection

How is data stored on Backup servers?
  • Data is stored on encrypted storage systems in AES-256.

    Effectively data encryption is the protection against illicit physical access to storage systems.

    In order to keep the data completely encrypted it is necessary that the encryption is carried out until the data is copied to the Backup servers.

How do I benefit from technical support for this product?
  • Technical support and information for Backup is provided by iHost.

    To get support you need to open a ticket in the customer area.

What happens to the data if I cancel the service?
  • After canceling or terminating the service, the data is kept for 30 days.

    At the expiration of the term of 30 days the data are permanently deleted, without the possibility of recovery.
